INGREDIENTS
1 cup (125g, 4oz) plain flour (all-purpose flour)
2 tbsps sugar
2 tsps cinnamon
½ cup (125ml, 4fl oz) macadamia oil or other neutral-flavoured oil
4 apples peeled, cored and sliced into 1cm (½ in)-thick rings
4 tbsps icing sugar (powdered sugar)
METHOD
In a bowl mix together flour, sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Place oil in a small bowl. Dab each sliced apple dry with a paper towel and then dip first into the oil, then into the flour mixture, turning to coat on both sides.
Spray inside of air fryer basket with cooking spray. Lay the apple slices in the basket in a single layer. Work in batches or use a double-layer accessory, if necessary.
Cook at 160°C (320°F) for 13 minutes. Spray with cooking spray, then cook for a further 2 minutes.
In a bowl mix together icing sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the cooked apples before serving.
